Phillips Boatworks in Buxton announces that it is now the Outer Banks Honda Marine Dealer. The dealership is official now, after months of negotiation. “I’ve always been a fan of Honda Outboards and how quiet they run. I am pleased to be able to bring this needed dealership to the island. It took months of work, but the deal is done. It is official so please shop local this season when you need a new outboard”, says Jay Phillips owner of Phillips Boatworks in Buxton. The dealership will offer the full range of Honda Marine engines including the portable, mid to high horsepower series, and the new jetdrive outboards.
Honda is recognized as a high quality outboard manufacturer and well known as the nominated manufacturer of marine engines for the US Coast Guard. In regular use by the USCG, other agencies, and seasoned commercial watermen there is little argument about the quality and durability of the products. Phillips is eager to build up a small inventory of floor models to be kept at the new Phillips Boatworks Hatteras Sailing Center in Buxton. “We can’t keep a huge inventory, but if the local community would benefit I could see us keeping a few of the most popular models in stock” says Phillips.
