Spring 2021 Tentatively Scheduled for April 1
As the colder weather closes in on for Winter, we look forward to planning our Spring 2021 Session. Our borrowed Optis from Colington Yacht Club should still be available to us, but preparing for their return is wise. So we will be hosting a Winter Boat Building Seminar using the Optimist as the subject design, so we can gear up to make several for Summer. We also have some boats in the works for the larger and older kids: the Hobie 18 and the Flying Junior, which are being refit at Phillips Boat Works. Weather determines our real start date for Spring Session, but tentatively the date will be the first Saturday in April
Communication
Please text 252-999-9659 to be included into the SMS updates for. This is the number for every age group. If you are new or were signed up to a different phone number last season, please text this number so that we can keep the communication channel as seamless as possible.
Schedule
Spring Session will tentatively have 3 groups with potential for overflow groups if registrations exceed 24 participants. Group 1 – Competitive Training; Group 2 – Cruisers; Group 3 – Beginners. The Competition Group will practice 3 days a week and others will meet on Saturdays like this Fall. Volunteers and Sponsors are definitely needed. Exact times will be announced when we get closer to April. Early registration will open up on February 1 and stay open until all 24 spots are full. If registrations exceed 24, then we will look at starting additional classes.
