Take Home the 40 Year Old Fish House Restaurant Highway Signs! A piece of Hatteras History.
The old Fish House Property on Buxton Harbor has been sold and will hopefully be put to use as a sailing and maritime education center for local and visiting youth and adults.
Originally we were planning on simply flipping and re-using the signage for the new branding.
We are offering at least one of the signs to the highest bidder! Proceeds from the sale of this cool and historic memento will be used towards the purchase and use of the property as a sailing and maritime educational resource to the community.
Details are as follows:
Dimensions are 8 ft long x 5 feet high x 2 inches thick
The sign material is a high density foam sign board.
The original builder of this sign was Lock Weems at Adlight Signs in KDH.
Our replacement cost because of the 5 ft width is near $1000 per sign, so that is the minimum acceptable bid…otherwise we will just flip it and use the other side.
